A Danish parliamentary majority is inclined to build a tunnel, rather than a bridge across the 18 kilometres of the Fehmarn Belt between Denmark and Germany.

According to DR, the Liberals, Conservatives, Danish People’s Party, Social Democrats and Socialist People’s Party all made clear statements in favour of a tunnel at a public meeting in Rødby, that currently serves as a ferry embarkation point to Puttgarden in Germany.
