The Aarhus Court has begun hearing the case against a 29-year-old Somali man on charges of terrorism and the attempted murder of the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, who produced one of the controversial cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.

It was on January 1, 2010 that the man broke into Westergaard’s house armed with an axe. Westergaard, who was unharmed in the incident, managed to lock himself into a safe room and raise the alarm.
