The Conservative Party Political Spokesman Henriette Kjær has announced that she is withdrawing from her senior Conservative posts and will not be contesting the next election.
“After careful consideration I have decided to ask Lars Barfoed to be released from my duties as Parliamentary Group Chair and Political Spokeswoman. I will continue in Parliament until the next election and will do the tasks that I am presented with. But I have decided not to contest the next election despite the warm support that I received at my constituency appointment meeting in Aarhus last Monday,” Kjær says in a news release.
