Danish military interpreter denied residence

Barialai Hassanzani leaves Denmark for Afghanistan on Wednesday, the second time he is to be an interpreter for the Danish contingent.

But despite his efforts on behalf of Denmark Hassanzani has been refused a residence permit in Denmark, where his mother and two siblings live, because he does not live up to requirements of ‘active citizenship’, according to Information.
