Denmark’s public sector overspent to the tune of DKK 8.7 billion in 2010, according to the latest figures.
“This is a major challenge. We know that there are demands from across the board. The overspending comes from a major demand for services in local government and the regions. But we will have to turn over every stone now before we spend any more. It is a giant challenge, but we will have to shoulder it. There is no alternative,” says Liberal Finance Spokesman Jacob Jensen.
