Libya’s air force can be stopped in 24 hours

While it is practically possible to introduce a no-fly zone over Libya, it has consequences that the international community may not be prepared to accept, according to the head of Denmark’s Air Force Officer Training establishment (FO).

“The international community has the military strength to remove Libya’s air force within 24 hours. It would not take long. The question is whether we are prepared to accept the consequences it may have,” says FO Commanding Officer Major Karsten Marrup.
