Deputy Prime Minister and Conservative Party Leader Lars Barfoed is suggesting that the europact may force an early referendum on Denmark’s opt-outs to EU treaties – in defence and justice cooperation and the euro.
“We must address the issues of the euro and the other opt-outs. I will not put a precise date on when, but depending on the development of the process surrounding the europact, I feel that a vote is relatively high on the agenda,” Barfoed says.
