Denmark is to prepare four F-16 fighters to take part in international efforts to enforce a no-fly zone in Libya if the United Nations and NATO call for such an operation, according to Denmark’s Foreign Minister Lene Espersen.
“If NATO’s Supreme Commander in Europe SACEUR asks Denmark to provide aircraft, we are prepared to pre-deploy four F-16 aircraft and send them to be part of a ban in a later phase,” Espersen says.
