Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen says that Denmark wishes to be in the vanguard of the battle for its own values, and is therefore at the forefront of efforts to curb Libya's Muammar Gaddafi.
“We want to be at the forefront of the battle for our own values, the battle against humanitarian catastrophes – and that means against Gaddafi,” Løkke Rasmussen said in Washington, and did not preclude Denmark taking part in a NATO-led mission in Libya without a clear UN mandate.
