Several hundred farmers from across Denmark are currently driving their tractors towards the centre of Copenhagen in order to protest against what they see as unreasonable EU requirements and levies, and not least the Danish government’s Water Environment Plan.
“We are not angry. On the contrary we are very positive and want to enter into a dialogue with Copenhageners. We are a flock of happy farmers on our way into town,” says Farmer Thyge Wissing from the southern region of the capital island Zealand.
