A squadron of six Danish F-16 fighters and its ground crew left Denmark early Saturday for an operational base in Sicily following a unanimous decision in the Danish Parliament to take part in a coalition of the willing to enforce UN Resolution 1973.
“The aircraft will be operational from Sunday,” Defence Minister Gitte Lillelund Bech told reporters following the Parliamentary vote late on Friday evening.
