Less than 24 hours after the Gaddafi regime declared a ceasefire, Politiken’s reporter in Benghazi says he has been able to hear heavy artillery fire around the city since 03.00 on Saturday morning.

“People are afraid now and are congregating,” Politiken Journalist Bo Søndegaard reports by phone from Benghazi, adding that eight columns of smoke could be seen over the southern suburbs of Benghazi at 7 a.m., including from a residential area.
