The Red Green Party has decided to withdraw its support for Danish participation in the operation in Libya, breaking what was an historic unity of all parties in the Danish Parliament.
“Since last Friday it has been possible to stop Gaddafi’s attacks on the civilian population. The decision to do so was the right one and we are happy that we were part of that,” says the party’s Foreign and Defence Policy Spokesman Frank Aaen after a meeting of the Red Green Executive Committee.
