Although there is still a clear majority of the electorate that supports Denmark’s involvement in military operations in Libya, an increasing number feel that Denmark should withdraw, according to the latest Megafon poll for Politiken and TV2.
Asked whether Denmark should stop its military operations in Libya now, the poll says that 66 per cent of those asked feel Denmark should continue, while 28 per cent feel that it should withdraw. The figures compare to a Gallup poll two days after operations began in which 78 per cent supported Denmark’s role, and are in contrast to the political situation in which all parties but the four members of the Red Green party support Denmark’s role.
