Københavns Lufthavne, in which the Danish State has a 39 percent holding, is alleged to be avoiding Danish tax by using a company construction involving a company in Bermudan tax haven, according to hitherto unpublished accounts that Politiken has seen.
The tax loophole involves the airport’s major shareholder Maquarie Airports, which it is alleged withdraws some DKK 500 million out of the airport each year, moving the funds to Bermuda through a shell corporation in Luxembourg.
