If the government’s 2020 Plan proposal passes through Parliament, the government wants to give the Economic Council an extra job in checking compliance with government policy.
“Our proposal sees the Economic Council getting an extra role in monitoring fiscal policy and whether expenditure ceilings comply with policy,” says Economy and Trade Minister Brian Mikkelsen (Cons).
