DSB cleans up coast line crisis

The national Danish railways DSB is to underwrite its troublesome and indebted subsidiary DSBFirst to the tune of DKK 725 million, with reports that its partner in the venture First Group says it wants to withdraw from the construction.

DSBFirst, which is jointly-owned by DSB and First Group of Scotland, runs the Elsinore to Copenhagen commuter line and beyond to southern Sweden.
