Denmark’s Integration and Development Aid Minister Søren Pind has lashed out at the European Council’s Human Rights Commissioner for his criticism of Denmark and other EU countries for not helping Italy with its refugee problem.
The European Council’s Human Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg has criticised Denmark and other EU countries for leaving Italy in the lurch in connection with the 25,000 North African refugees that have arrived at the Italian island of Lampedusa.
