Thousands of non-smokers get COPD

New research from the Århus University Occupational Medicine Institute shows that Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is not, as generally believed, only a smoker’s disease.

According to the survey, some 65,000 Danes have contracted COPD, which in Denmark is also known as Smoker’s Lung, without their illness having any connection to tobacco smoke.
