Ekstra Bladet is reporting that a Danish family has offered USD 600,000 for the release of seven Danes who have been held hostage by Somali pirates since their private yacht was hijacked on February 24, but the ransom figure has been rejected.
The ransom offer was immediately rejected when put forward under two weeks ago, according to the report which is sourced to a pirate named Isse who previously arranged for the tabloid to visit the hostages on the vessel in which they were being held.
