Denmark’s new hooligan law, which among other things allows police preventive detention without charge for 12 hours, has the support of a firm majority of Danes.
According to the latest Megafon poll for Politiken and TV2, 58 percent say the law is a good idea while some 30 percent criticise the legislation. The new law, which was put through Parliament prior to the COP15 summit, has been extensively used during climate demonstrations in the past few days.
