The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration has issued a warning against eating raw tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce from Germany as a result of an outbreak of the e-coli intestinal affliction VTEC, and which 10 Danes have also contracted.
“Over the past few days we have seen some very serious cases in northern Germany and Sweden among people who have been in northern Germany. So we are taking no chances and are warning against eating tomato, cucumber and lettuce from Germany,” says Danish Veterinary and Food Administration Emergency Executive Kim Vandrup Sigsgaard.
