Danish officials are in Brussels Friday to explain Denmark’s plans for customs border controls to the European Commission – but they will have one less argument in their arsenal, according to Jyllands-Posten.
Up to now, the Danish government has argued that its plans for permanent customs controls at Danish borders do not contravene Schengen rules on free mobility as they are identical to controls that Sweden already has in place.
