Tax Minister Peter Christensen is attempting to plaster over differences with Germany over Denmark’s impending permanent customs border controls, saying that the controls envisaged are not as serious as they are made out to be.
Christensen’s reaction comes following an unusually frank rejoinder from the German ambassador to Denmark as a reaction to the tax minister’s claims that Germany itself has some 350 customs officers in Schleswig-Holstein.
