The private Heat-1X space rocket successfully blasted off from its floating ramp off the Danish Baltic island of Bornholm today, carrying the Tycho Brahe capsule that it is hoped one day will carry a man into space.

Take-off was delayed several hours due to minor technical problems, but the hitches were solved - unlike the malfunctioning domestic hair dryer that prevented last year’s test flight.
