The government’s pact with the Danish People’s Party for permanent customs controls at Danish borders is now uncertain following an opposition manoeuvre to call for a full Parliamentary debate.

The agreement was to have been decided at a Finance Committee meeting Friday afternoon, where it seemed certain to pass through, but the opposition has now called for the issue to be put before a full debate in Parliament, where a government majority is highly uncertain.
