The High Court in Århus opened its appeal case today in connection with a Somali man’s attack against the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard in January 2010, with the prosecution looking for a stiffer sentence and the defence calling for a milder one.
It was on Jan.1 , 2010 that Muhudin Mohamed Geele, 29, broke into Kurt Westergaard’s house in Århus armed with an axe. Westergaard ensconced himself in a safe room after which the Geele left the house and attacked policemen outside.
