The Conservative Leader Lars Barfoed says that if the centre-right wins this year’s general election, he wants the Danes to hold a referendum on the country’s EU opt-outs as soon as possible, and preferably to remove the opt-outs already in 2011.

“The opt-outs harm Denmark and keep us out of influence. So, we should have a vote to get rid of all three opt-outs as soon as possible, including the euro,” Barfoed says.
