Foreign Minister Lene Espersen and a delegation of Danish parties who support Denmark’s policies in Libya are in Benghazi today for meetings with the Transitional National Council (TNC) at which Denmark is to recognise the TNC as Libya’s only legitimate representative.
“I believe the time has come now. Our fears that competing groups would try to take over the country have proven to be unfounded,” Espersen said after she had held negotiations with the TNC leadership.
