The Danish pharmaceutical Lundbeck has announced a new distribution process for its pentobarbital drug in order to prevent it being used for executions in US prisons.
“The company has moved to alter the distribution of its medicine Nembutal (pentobarbital sodium injection, USP) in order to restrict its application as part of lethal injection in the U.S. ,” Lundbeck says in a news release.
