Five Danish and an allied soldier were wounded this morning in an explosion west of Patrol Base Line in Helmand Province in Afghanistan, according to a statement from Army Operational Command in Denmark.
Army Operational Command said a total of six soldiers were wounded by shrapnel from the explosion which took place as the unit was on foot patrol. A short exchange of fire with attackers ensued.
