Løkke urges one minute silence

Norwegians will be observing a minute’s silence at noon today in memory of those who lost their lives in Friday’s attacks in Oslo and Utøya. Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen is urging Danes to follow suit.

“The tragedy in Norway was not only a meaningless and dastardly attack against innocent people. It was an attack against the very values that our countries are built upon. It was an attack against all of us. In this moment of grief, we stand together with the people of Norway. I therefore urge all Danes to show our solidarity by observing a minute’s silence in memory of the victims,” Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen says.
