In the old tapestry room of the Plaza Hotel you’ll find the well-assorted Library Bar in the best English style and where the young bartender has a good selection of hand-rolled cigars. Guests here are a mixture of hotel guests from all corners of the earth as well as locals of all ages who come at the weekends to hear live jazz or have a relaxed drink in the gentleman’s room after work.
When you sit in the dark library in one of the heavy leather sofas and enjoy a single malt surrounded by built-in bookcases, it seems that not much has changed since King Frederik VIII built the massive hotel in 1913.
