The Danish People’s Party Leader Pia Kjærsgaard says that statements of regret by leading Norwegian Progress Party politicians in connection with the immigrant debate are ‘alarming’, and a ‘completely wrong decision.
Kjærsgaard’s reactions come following statements to the Norwegian media by Progress Party Leader Siv Jensen that the tone of the debate should be questioned. There have been widespread discussions in the Nordic media following the recent bomb attack and massacre in Norway as to whether the tone of the immigrant debate has given rise to extremist tendencies.
