Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen is to present a plan on Friday to axe Denmark’s five regions, according to Berlingske.
Under the plan, the regions – which took over from the county administrations - will be axed prior to the next planned regional elections in 2013, with the government calling political negotiations on how the country’s hospitals are to be run in the future, the newspaper says.
