Denmark has renewed its commitment to continue NATO operations in Libya for a further three months and will allow the Transitional National Council to send political envoys to Copenhagen to act as partners in on-going discussions about the future of the country.
“There is a broad agreement that the strategy that we have chosen is the right one, the agreement in Parliament is absolutely intact,” Foreign Minister Lene Espersen says adding: “The pressure must remain on Gaddafi, so we will maintain our strategy, but adjust it so that it fits the developments of the past couple of months.”
