Despite protests and administrative issues, the Danish parliamentary presidium has given permission for a Ramadan event to be held in the parliamentary premises, according to the MP who has arranged the event.
“I am very happy that it will be going ahead in the Parliamentary Common Room. More than ever at the moment we need to meet and discuss issues across religious and party lines,” says Social Democratic MP Hüseyin Arac who has arranged the occasion on Aug. 22.
