Economy and Trade Minister Brian Mikkelsen (Cons) has announced agreement today with a broad majority of parliamentary parties to introduce a new bank package, with incentives to let healthy banks take over ailing ones.
“We are in a turbulent situation in the international financial market. Danish banks are in a difficult funding situation. We have agreed on several initiatives to consolidate and support the financial sector in Denmark,” Mikkelsen says.
