The Danish central bank Nationalbanken has reduced its interest rates on certificates of deposit by 0.10 percentage points to 1.1 per cent, and its current account rate by 0.1 percentage points to 1.0 per cent, the bank said in an announcement Thursday.
“The interest rate reduction follows Danmarks Nationalbank's purchase of foreign exchange in the market. The short euro market rates have fallen and the spread to the equivalent Danish rates has tended to strengthen the Danish krone,” the bank said.
