Sweden has managed to curb the influx of raccoon dogs from Finland but is now worried that the invasive species may swim across the Øresund from Denmark, according to Dagens Nyheter.

The raccoon dog is an omnivorous canine that is indigenous to Japan, Siberia and Manchuria, but is now found as far afield as France, Germany and Scandinavia. Adults are generally 65 cm in length and weight up to 10 kilos.
