Piracy off the coast of Somalia appears to have been good for one thing. As international trawlers have withdrawn from the sea surface for fear of piracy, the fish stocks underneath have grown considerably.
A Danish initiative is now to attempt to get Somali pirates to shed their Kalashnikovs and danger of detention, grab trawler nets instead and partake of the lucrative fishing potential off Somalia and East Africa.
