The Danish Tax Authority SKAT has asked the police to investigate a leak from the authority concerning the tax affairs of the Social Democratic Leder Helle Thorning Schmidt, which were used by the tabloid B.T. today.
“We cannot accept our duty of confidentiality being questioned. That is our position in general, and particularly in a case of this type,” SKAT Permanent Secretary Peter Loft says in a news release.
