Caretaker Foreign Minister Lene Espersen (Cons) is expected to call in the foreign policy representatives of the various Parliamentary parties on the Palestine issue, and may have to instruct Denmark’s UN ambassador contrary to her own views.
Espersen’s quandary comes following indications that the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is to propose a United Nations resolution to recognise Palestine as an independent state.
