Unemployment rose for the fourth consecutive month in August, affecting particularly women between the ages of 30 and 60, according to the latest figures from Statistics Denmark.
The figures show the number of August unemployed rose by 1,000 to 165,200 or 6.2 per cent. Almost all of those laid off in August were women, Statistics Denmark says.
