Denmark’s Foreign Minister Villy Søvndal (SocPpl) says he regrets that the United Nations Security Council was unable to agree on a resolution last night regarding the situation in Syria.

Both Russia and China vetoed a resolution that implicitly threatened sanctions against Syria if the al-Assad regime does not stop its abuse and killing of pro-democracy demonstrators.
