Sparekassen Sjælland has reached agreement with the national financial recycling bin Finansiel Stabilitet to buy the healthy parts of Max Bank, which had been heading for closure over the weekend.
The acquisition involves Max Bank’s nine branches and 125 employees and 35,000 clients with deposits of DKK 3.8 billion and a lending portfolio of some DKK 3 billion. Those moving to Sjællandske Bank include all private customers and most business clients.
