Foreign Minister Villy Søvndal has criticised today’s guilty verdict and sentence against the former Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Timoshenko saying the move was a serious setback for Ukraine.
“The sentence handed down on Yulia Timoshenko is a serious setback for te Rule of Law in Ukraine. The judgment is a culmination of a court case that has not lived up to international standards,” Søvndal says.
