The number of notices issues in September was almost double that of August, rising from 1,186 to 2,098, according to the latest figures from the Labour Market Board.
“On paper this is a major increase, and even when the figures are seasonally adjusted there has been an increase in the number of notices in the spring and summer,” says Nykredit Senior Economist Tore Stramer.
