Police chasing talkative motorists

Denmark’s traffic police officers are particularly on the lookout this week for motorists who break the law by speaking or fumbling around with hand-held mobile phones, or who are otherwise inattentive while driving.

The operation is part of a Council for Safe Traffic campaign against inattentiveness while driving, with motorists speaking on hand-held mobile phones, fiddling with GPS devices or reading or writing SMS messages.
