Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt says the government plans to return the age of criminal responsibility to 15 in order that 14-year old children cannot be put in prison.
“We cannot accept that the lack of norms of some young people develops into lawlessness. We will forcefully react against that. But there is absolutely nothing to indicate that reducing the age of responsibility leads to less crime among children and young people,” she said.
